Tourism in Langkawi.
Langkawi is an archipelago of 104 islands in the Andaman Sea, some 30 km off the mainland coast of northwestern Malaysia. The islands are a part of the state of Kedah, which is adjacent to the Thailand border.

Palau Langkawi, or Langkawi island is the biggest and the main centre of the archipielago. It serves as an excellent base for those who plan to explore the group of islands of Kedah and the south of Thailand.

Langkawi is also one of the main tourist destinations in Southeast Asia. The high season is going from November to April.
 

Climate:
Langkawi has a true dry season from December until February while March to November is a long raining season. August is the wettest month, when it normally receives more than 500 mm. The temperature goes around 30º almost every day.

Airport:
Langkawi has an international airport that connects the region With other cities of Malaysia, and the major capitals of southeast Asia. The airport is situated in the west coast of Palau Langkawi island. The main airlines are Malaysian airlines and Air Asia.
